At
We
toured the city a bit, trying to find a place to eat. My mom tried to
get us
into the sushi/tapas bar, but it was pretty busy. We walked across town
to the
museum and had lunch there – we had only 2 or three choices for hot
meals. I
bought a ham sandwich for Elias, who didn’t eat it. He just asked for
and drank
1/2 a glass of water. He started to act very strangely, and at one
point he
started gagging. I grabbed the bag that the sandwich came in and he
puked up
everything in his stomach. I got most of it in the bag, a little on my
dad’s
chair, nearly hitting my dad. Once he stopped I took him away from the
food and
sat with him for a while. All he wanted to do was go back to the house,
which
we did right after we all ate.
On
the way home, my mom and I lagged behind and visited some really cute
shops.
Elias
was ok when we got back, but still wouldn’t eat. I gave him some cold
medicines, and a little later he was better – playing around. In the
late
afternoon we went to a park on Mariesbergviken – a lake where they have
a small
wading pool, tons of kids play equipment and a small beach for the kids
to play
on and swim. Many of the kids were buck naked, and having a great time.
I asked
Elias if he wanted to just strip and swim, he wanted to put on the swim
trunks
I had for him… Elias swam, jumped off the dock, etc, and had a blast.
He didn’t
want to leave when it was time to go home and make dinner.
At
dinner he wouldn’t eat anything again. In fact he fell asleep on the
bench
behind Ruben. We woke him up after dinner, and all walked back towards
town to
the festival down by the water. There we met Susanna – a young woman my
folks
had struck up a friendship with earlier in the month. She was lovely.
We sat,
had some drinks (I had a yummy, but sweet, pear cider). Elias drank
some 7 up,
and even later asked for a bit of candy. I bought him some chocolate
coins –
which were “Euros” – I bought one for Matthew too. He ate one.
