Trip to Sweden and Norway - Day 8

Today was pretty easy – we woke up at 8:30, ate a quick breakfast. Dad, Lauren, Ruben and Elias walked downtown to get tickets for the train for Oslo, try the Hertz (it was closed) have some coffee at the Zegas, and stopped at a coop/artist gallery.

Ruben and I fell in love with some great snapps glasses and pillows. We bought the pillows, and thought about the snapps glasses. The guy working there was actually one of the artists from originally from Ohio, but fell in love with a woman from Sweden and has lived here since college. He was a great guy named Steven.

We ran back to the house, picked up mom, and went back to the Konsum. We also made some phone calls. After all that we had lunch – a mish mash of food, but it included some POG juice that Jacki had made. Lauren drank most of it, it was kind of fizzy and tasted like a soda. Little did we know it was fermented and Lauren had an allergic reaction to it (complete with hives and a headache.). After a bit of rest, drugs and dinner, she felt much better.

After dinner Ruben and Lauren drove out to see the University – a small very new university that looks like there is a technology park being created all around it. We walked for a while, then found our way back “home” even though we had to weave our way through our a detour (there and back).
